A Perfect New England Winter Road Trip

This post brought to you by Enterprise Rent-A-Car. All opinions are 100% mine.

Although snow can be a little challenging at times here in New England, winter road trips are quite popular in the area.  Skiing is a big draw for many, but for me it is mostly about the scenery, and New Hampshire has some of the best.  Not only is it as lovely in winter as the rest of the year, but there is also a special kind of serenity the snow blanketed scapes inspire in me.

This serenity could be promptly disrupted  if my old SUV were to breakdown at such a significant distance from home, which is why renting one from Enterprise Rent-A-Car would make a lot of sense for me.

After all, the trip being cut short before my 6 year old daughter makes it to Santa’s Villiage would be out of the question, now wouldn’t it.

Not only would I have the piece of mind that I have a reliable late model vehicle for the trip and skipping the wear & tear on my own, but the gas mileage would surely be far better, cutting down on the cost of the rental.  With the help of the “Plus Your Points” promotion, which can be found on the  Enterprise Plus Your Points promotion website I could also earn double points toward free rentals and upgrades for future trips. The deal is going on now through March 21st, so you have plenty of time to build up some points. There are no blackout dates and points don’t expire as long as you have one qualifying Enterprise rental within every two-year period. Why not sign-up now, so you are ready (you can even earn a few points now by tweeting).

I’d definitely want to stop by Santa’s Village, too! I’ve rented a car from Enterprise a few times and had great experiences with them.

I’ve always wanted to take the kids to Santa’s Village at Christmas time, but the thought of being outside in the cold ALL DAY really doesn’t sound like that much fun.

I just went through this entire debate with myself about my trip home! It’s tons of peace of mind to have a late model vehicle. TONS!

We rent a car every time we travel out of town. My mechanic husband absolutely insists on it!

I don’t think I would do well in snow, but then I live in South Florida where it doesn’t interfere with our driving (unless you count the snowbirds)

I definitely want to go to New England one day- bonus points if it’s during the winter! I wouldn’t know how to drive in the snow though so I definitely couldn’t go alone.

I have always wanted to visit New England in the fall when the leaves are changing colors and just drive around taking it all in. I’m not terribly fond of winter vacations unless they include warm beaches and summer clothing :)
