What if you had the opportunity to Live your own 5-star vacation story in Puerto Rico.? What would you do? Where would you go?  There are a huge array of exciting options, after all.

Natural Beauty

With 270 miles of coastline, the island boasts some of the best beaches in the world, such as Flamenco Beach in Culebra, the only rainforest under US national park service, Bioluminescent bays, which make swimmers appear to be glowing and an incredible array of birds and wildlife, the natural wonders of Puerto Rico are certainly an outstanding draw.

Adventure

For adventurous travelers, the subterranean river of Camuy caverns, snorkeling, rock climbing and ziplining are available. Not quite that ambitious, how about enjoying a  horse back ride on the beach.

History & Culture

Art & History buffs will find much to enjoy on the island.  A fusion of the indigenous, African & Spanish cultures on the island have produced both a rich history and unique artistic style.  From the old world charm of San Juan and ancient artifacts of Jayuya to the modern art and active theaters, there is so much to see.

Culinary Delights

As I am a foodie at heart, I’d be remiss not to mention the culinary delights available during a visit to Pueto Rico.  As most of you know, the island is famous for it’s rums, but it is also considered the “gastronomic capital of the Caribbean”.  Renowned chefs from an array of culinary traditions have brought their talent to the island, and Saborea, Puerto Rico’s largest annual food festival is a gathering of this outstanding talent along with food celebrities, in a celebration of Puerto Rican cuisine.

Ease of Travel

As Puerto Rico is a commonwealth of the United States, traveling there does not require a passport and there is no need to convert to a foreign currency.

I would love to go to El Yunque Rainforest park, relax at La Monserrate Beach Park and enjoy the wonderful food in Old San Juan.

I want to see Old San Juan. I want to see the historic colonial buildings.

  3. Toni Marie Caravello Feimer says

I have been to Rincon, PR and a friend of mine lives there and we had a great time. The food was excellent and the waves and surfing in the winter time were wonderful. A perfect getaway to PR would include at least a trip to Rincon or staying there all five days. We would visit Aguadilla Entertainment Complex and take in some water rides or maybe go ice skating. We’d love to see Bahía Sucia, or “Dirty Bay,” which is not really dirty but I read quite beautiful.

We never got a chance to see the charm of San Juan so we’d love to take a ride there and also visit the lush rainforest of El Yunque.

Last time were were there, we heard about the Arecibo Radio Telescope, and would love to visit that place as well.

I never got a chance to parasail or twhile in Rincon, I think I would love to take a lesson or two. I would stay in one of the resorts in Rincon near to my friend. There are so many great ones it would be hard to choose, but maybe Dos Angeles Del Mar or Rincón of the Seas, Grand Caribbean Hotel or Villa Cofresí Hotel & Restaurant.

We loved Anasco but never got a chance to walk around and shop at all the boutiques. We would do that as well. Also would visit our friends at Uncharted Studio t-shirt shop in Rincon. They make the best silk screen shirts with natural cotton and dyes.

Can’t wait to visit Puerto Rico again and soon and we hope to win.
