This post brought to you by GNC. All opinions are 100% mine.
80 years ago, a new company opened in Pittsburgh. It was dedicated to helping people live well and perform their best. That company was General Nutrition Centers, better known today as GNC. They have held tight to the same goals. They still believe in the GNC Live Well motto.
To honor their ongoing commitment, and that of their customers GNC has launched the #BeatAverage initiative. They help you #BeatAverage everyday, and want to hear about how you do it, so #TeamGNC has set up a page, for us to share how we #BeatAverage each day, to help inspire ourselves and others.
If you haven’t seen this video yet it is certainly worth a watch. The “average sets the treadmill on mosey” line cracks me up every time.
Honestly, this little reminder is just what I needed today. After striving to get fit and healthy for the last few years, I have been seriously slacking for several months now. All the what “average” does things, have embarrassingly been me lately, and it is showing in several ways. It is time for me to get off my duff and back on track, now, not later. No more “forgetting” to exercise or take my vitamins. No more “just one” cookie. No more. I’m going to #BeatAverage, because it just isn’t cutting it anymore.
I picked the image above to share on the #BeatAverage site, as inspiration to myself. You can’t really see with the text over it, but it says 10 miles, which was not that unusual for me to cover in a day, about a year ago, before I used being busy as an excuse for sloth… and snacking. I did it before, I can do it again… and so can you.
