I just had the opportunity to try a new (to America anyway) brand of yogurt. It is called Müller™, and has been a popular yogurt brand in Europe for many years. Through a collaboration with Quaker (yes, the wholesome oats people), Müller™ yogurts are now available in the USA. They are currently being produced in a new facility in Batavia, NY, and stocked throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states. I am in Rhode Island, and had no problem at all finding them on store shelves.
Müller™ has both regular and Greek yogurts available in their unique “Corner” packaging. Lowfat vanilla yogurt is in the larger section, and a triangle of topping is stored in another small compartment. I found this set up to work out pretty well, especially with the crunchy toppings. Both were quite yummy, but was especially impressed by the Greek variety. I am typically not all that fond of Greek yogurt, and have even described some brands as “chalky”, that was not the case at all with Müller Greek Corner™. The yogurt was thick, as you would expect from higher protein Greek style yogurt, but the texture was pleasantly smooth. The Greek Corner with Carmelized Almonds has an impressive full 13 grams of protein, making it a great post work-out or afternoon snack option. I may just be a convert
The FrütUp™ line is packed in a more familiar way for most Americans. Each container has creamy yogurt on the bottom and a layer of fruit topping above it. The yogurt and topping are both thick and creamy. Far more satisfying than most yogurt cups this size. At 140 calories for the blueberry, a perfect snack choice.
My Verdict: Yes, I will be buying these again in the future. I am pretty fussy, so that is saying a lot.
- Müller Corner and Müller Greek Corner offer a new way to enjoy yogurt in an exclusive two-chamber with add-ins you can flip, stir or dip. Varieties include Strawberry, Blueberry, Crunchy Granola, Crispy Crunch, Choco Balls and Choco Flakes. The Greek-style varieties include Caramelized Almonds, Strawberry, Blackberry & Raspberry, and Honeyed Apricot.
- Müller FrütUp has creamy low-fat yogurt on the bottom with a vibrant layer of fruit mousse on top. Müller FrütUp is a new yogurt experience that you can scoop or swirl to your delight. With a delicious fruit mousse on the top of yogurt, there is nothing like it. Müller FrütUp varieties include Peach Passion Fruit, Splendid Strawberry, Blueberry Bliss, Radiant Raspberry, Luscious Lemon and Very Cherry.
Müller™ provided me with product for sampling. Thoughts and opinions are my own.
