My daughter was so caught up in playing with the salt dough we made today.
Picnik Fun
As some of you know, I lost some programs due to a virus last week. One of them was my photo editing software. It ended out being good in some ways. I finally got around to trying the online editing software from Picnik. I ordered new software, and will probably work mainly on that when it comes in, but I will use Picnik when on my laptop, which can’t handle the other software. I love how easy it is to add cool effects to pictures on Picnik.
Ain’t Nothin’ but a Houndawg
It was about this time last year that we lost our Redbone Coonhound. She had barked at someone trying to break into our neighbors car, and the criminal shot her. The damage from the bullet was extensive, and sadly we had to put her down.
She was one of those dogs, the biggest pain in the backside you will ever now, but her sweetness and mournful eyes always made you forgive her. I don’t miss the the destructive things she used to do, nor her tendency to “adopt” baby possums and bring them in my house, but she herself is dearly missed. That dog had character.
Wordless Wednesday : What a Difference a Few Weeks can Make
Only a few weeks ago, things were just starting to sprout & bud. The garden is feeling a bit feisty right now. I hope to change out the unsitely double fence around this garden soon. It was put in place to keep out our hyperactive coonhound, who moved on to doggie heaven, last year.
Currently blooming in this picture: chives, white tree peony & oriental poppy.
Wordless Wednesday: Going & Going & Going
My daughter went on a little field trip to the gymnasium with her playschool, last Friday afternoon. She kind of got hooked on the barrel roller.
Eventually she did stop going, in circles, and crashed out in the barrel.
A few minutes after this one was taken they went outside to play on the climber and slides. She perked right up, and was flying around again.
Wordless Wednesday: Bad Bangs
My daughter hates to sit still when I cut her bangs, and she has cowlicks to boot. As you can see, this can lead to “bad bangs”. When it is time to cut her bangs, I have to start in the morning, and go at it several times throughtout the day, so she won’t look like this. Yes, they were fixed shortly after this pic, was taken ![]()
