Staples Rescues Me from a Mountain of Digital Clutter

organizing images

The File Clutter problem My name is Robin, and I have a problem.  I am a digital hoarder.  I have quite a few various old files stored between my computers, that I’m sure I no longer need, but who has the time to sort through all that.  My biggest issue by far though is image [...]

My daughter and I recently had the opportunity to try out the new Honey Bunches of Oats Greek Honey Crunch cereal as part of a campaign from Mom It Forward.  Honey Bunches of Oats Greek is made with two different types of granola, Greek yogurt,  whole grains and honey.  Each one cup serving provides 2/3rds [...]

You Can’t “Beet” That: Bella Nutripro Juicer Review & Recipe

nutripro feature

I was recently sent a Bella Nutripro juicer to try out.  Actually, I shouldn’t say recently, since it sat in the box for about a month… taxes, site redesign and a host of other things teamed with my reluctance to mess around with what I thought was going to be a complicated and hard to [...]

Cook Dinner from Scratch…No Excuses! #HelloFresh

hello fresh salmon meal

I am often known to espouse the virtues of cooking from scratch, but I do realize that is easier said than done for many. I work from home, and cooking is a big part of that work, so I must admit it is easier for me. I still find grocery shopping a massive time suck though, especially if you are planning meals from fresh ingredients. If you’ve been box or take-out dependent, and are not used to preparing fresh home cooked meals, the process of switching can seem daunting I’m sure. Sorry, but I’m about to strip away your excuses.

Add Full Core to your Healthy Dieting Arsenal #StopSnacking

full core review

While I still ended 2012 lighter than when it started and most of my recipes are pretty healthy, the whirlwind of holiday baking did do a bit of damage.  Let’s just say… a muffin a day, leads to muffin top.  As February commences, I am happy to report that the snugness in my jeans from [...]

Don’t Be that Stinky Stranger…

nasty breath

We’ve all been there, a stranger wants to chat you up, alas their breath wreaks of salami sandwich or some other offensive odor. We may tolerate it from a bossum buddy, but not a newcomer. Although they may well be the most wonderful person on earth, all you can focus on is how you will make your get away, before you lose you lunch.

Feelin’ the Love #MeetYours

windows 8 phone

Say hello to my lit-tle friend.  I’ve had my new Windows 8 Nokia Lumia 810 phone for a little over a week now, and let’s just say… love is in the air. I don’t typically get all gushy over products, but when you go “gift” shopping for one, you know something is up.  O.K. … [...]

Getting on Track with the Sportline 965 Pedometer-Heartrate Monitor Watch (updated)

fitness technology vintage

I have found it hard over the past few months to stay active.  I haven’t been to the gym in eons, and frankly, I really don’t like going at all.  This is why I decided to go with a 10,000 step-a-day challenge for the new year.  I have plenty of work to get done around [...]

Organic Valley ~ Eggnog Whipped Cream Recipe

eggnog whipped cream feature

I am sometimes guilty of throwing a few too many things into a recipe, but some ingredients call for more respect than that.  They deserve to stand less encumbered, and be showcased in their own right. I’ve found this to be the case with the organic dairy products I’ve tried from Organic Valley. Organic Valley [...]

Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Repair Review

Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Repair Booster Serum

I was recently given the opportunity to trial some Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Repair products for review.  Being in your 40′s with a five year old makes one even more aware of keeping aging skin at bay, and while my focus here is not on reviews, I will do them occasionally if it is a [...]
