Resveratrol has been shown in several studies to halt or even reverse some signs of aging. My husband and I are both in our 40′s now, and have a soon to be 3 year old daughter, so this was of interest to us. I had announced a little over a month ago, that we were both going to try taking resveratrol capsules for a month, and here are the results of our little experiment. For more info about resveratrol and how we set this up, see the initial post, Does Resveratrol Really Work?.
I was sent 2 bottles of capsules from ResVitale to try. One was a basic resvertrol blend, and the other was geared more specifically toward collagen. One thing I liked about this brand in particular is that it is made from organic red wine. We each took 1 of each capsule per day. I must admit I missed a day here and there, but my husband was very consistent. My missed dosage days are why this review is about a week late.
Results:
My husbands results are impossible to measure, since he quit smoking and started exercising around the same time we started taking the supplement. He is feeling great, but these other factors made a huge difference in this I am sure.
I on the other hand, have made no such significant changes in my life. I do think I have some minor improvement in the health of my skin, and dropped 3-4 lbs. without being on a diet. I don’t consider either of these to be significant changes, but 30 days is not a long time either.
I feel the most important thing I have to report, is that at the dosage my husband and I took, neither one of us experienced any negative side effects whatsoever. If you want to try resveratrol at a responsible dosage, I would say it is safe.
