Many of my readers are avid cooks like myself, so this seemed the perfect contest to share.

SheSpeaks and Macy’s have teamed up to present a Recipe Share Contest. Just share your favorite holiday recipe for a chance to win $1000. The winning recipe will also be featured on Food Republic.

The contest is already open, and submissions will be accepted through November 30th. I am going through my recipes now, to pick one to enter. If you would like to enter,as well, here is how to do it.

2. Click the Recipe Share tab
3. Submit your recipe
4. Share the contest via Facebook and Twitter

Cooking with Coke: T-Fal Steamer Giveaway

Coca-Cola is such an iconic part of the lives of most Americans. We all seem to have a special memory from our childhood that involves coke. From the old snapshot of you playing with your cousins, holding a bottle of Coca-Cola, to the case of Coke you will pick up for the upcoming Memorial Day BBQ, Coke always seems to be there.

It provides you with a place, to share recipes, family stories and mealtime traditions, as well as, grab some great recipes from some top chefs. You can even build your own personalized recipe book from the recipes offered and share your tips on how to get the whole family together. Sounds fun doesn’t it!

I just wanted to give you a little reminder that the deadline to nominate your fave mom, to win a Mediterranean Cruise, or other great prizes is April 13th. Don’t be leaving moms out in the cold.

A Fun Contest & Great Charity Program to Help Homeless Children, from Company Kids

The Company Store is celebrating their 100th anniversary with a socially-minded Kids’ Design Contest. The program is meant to inspire kids to be creative, while encouraging charitable mindedness in today’s children. Submissions of original artwork from kids age 12 and under are welcome. The Company Store will transform the winning artists submission into a comforter design for their ongoing Buy One, Give One Comforter Donation Program. This program donates one new comforter to a homeless child for every comforter sold.

“Since launching this endeavor in January, we’ve seen an immensely positive response from consumers who view this as an opportunity to make a purchase while simultaneously giving back to their community,” says Dennis Warner, Chief Marketing Officer of The Company Store. “This next phase is a chance to engage and involve children while demonstrating that making a difference in the world can be both enjoyable and rewarding.”

For your child to submit their artwork, post the piece to the Company Kids Facebook page. There will be a public vote to select the winner from 3/28 through 4/22. Good luck and have fun. It is for a great cause.

I just started taking the 500 mg. Ester-C tablets today. I’ll keep you up to date on how that goes. I am hoping it’s immune support, may assist me in avoiding those annoying spring colds. It’s antioxidant support, and promotion of heart & circulatory health make it worth adding to my vitamin regime anyway
