Nonniversary

nonniversary

Today was an odd day.

I was outside talking to my neighbor, and my husband stopped by to pay child support.  He walked over to see our daughter.  She wasn’t in the mood for him,  and frankly, neither was I.   He was gone within a minute, muttering something about having a lot to do.

About 10 minutes after he left I realized that it was our 11th wedding anniversary… or more aptly our nonniversary .  Don’t get me wrong, I knew very well that the day I signed the worst contract of my life was coming up, but today,  it just slipped my mind.

Apathy, it can be a good thing.

  1. I’m glad you’re getting through this. One day at a time.

    • He has actually been out of the house for over 10 months now, so it isn’t such a big deal anymore… last year was tough though, not what you expect for a 10th anniversary KWIM

      • My parents have been divorced for longer than they were married, at this point. I think my mother is STILL trying to get over it. 22 years later…
