It’s been a busy year here at Mom Foodie and it was fun to look back at the recipes I created throughout it. While I have particular favorites of my own, I decided to share the most popular ones with readers. I used page traffic as a popularity measure. Now, I do have some older recipes that still get more traffic than some of these, but this collection is all about this year, and these are my most popular recipes published in 2013. Many of them are personal favorites as well… and yes, I did get hungry putting this collection together.
Upon looking at the collection together, a few things stood out. Gluten-free & meatless recipes seemed to be a hit. Baked goods and St. Patrick’s Day foods were also popular. While only 2 were casseroles, the Ranch Black Bean n’ Veggie Tortilla Casserole was the most popular recipe overall, by a significant margin (coincidentally it was gluten-free and meatless too). Looking at these recipes, certainly helps give me some direction for next year.
As a member of Foodie.com, I used their easy collections tool to compile the recipes. Collections are viewed on the site in a board fashion, but are easily embedded as widgets like I’ve shared with you below. Anyone can join Foodie.com, you don’t need to be a blogger. It is a great way to both find and collect new recipes. You can collect recipes from their site, your favorite blogs and many other places with the use of their bookmarklet tool.
Without further ado, here’s the top recipes of 2013 (on my site anyway).
