Martha Stewart Clean: Review & Giveaway

I am always on the look-out to try new green cleaning products.  When I heard Martha Stewart had joined forces with Hain Celestial, to produce a new eco-friendly line of household cleaners, I just had to try them out.  Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia was kind enough to send me some product samples to try.

The new product line is called Martha Stewart Clean.   All of the products are comprised of over 99%  plant and mineral based ingredients, which are biodegradable. They contain no sodium lauryl sulfate, ammonia or added fragrances.  In the production of the Martha Stewart Clean line, there has also been a commited made, to use no animal testing or animal by products.  This is not only animal friendly, but avoids the odor causing residue these by-products can leave behind.  In addition to the eco-friendliness of the cleaning products themselves, the packaging they come in is fully recyclable.

I was sent the dish & hand soap and the all-purpose cleaner to try. 

The dish & hand soap performed fine and I like that it can be used for both handwashing and dishes.  It didn’t dry out my hands, and is virtually odorless.  I like the lack of fragrance, especially in a hand soap to be used in the kitchen.  Scent is a very important part of cooking,  and the perfumes in some handsoaps can be rather over-powering.

The all-purpose cleaner is great for those things you tend to clean throughout the day.  It is wonderful for areas your children use, since chemical residue is not an issue.  It was nice not have to worry about chemicals in the air when I used this cleaning, while my daughter was in the room.
