This post brought to you by ALPO® Brand Dog Food. All opinions are 100% mine.
My old girl gets around a bit slower than she used to, but there is one sure way to add a bit of pep to her step… put out a can of ALPO® Homestyle Prime Cuts Gravy Cravers, especially in the beef flavor.
It really isn’t surprising considering this looks better than many things I see people eat. I swear if I poured this over rice & took a picture, someone would be sure to ask for the recipe. Tell me, you aren’t tempted to take a bite yourself… but no, it’s not for you.
As I’ve mentioned before, Miss Hannah is in her twilight years, and like many older dogs, she doesn’t have the appetite she once did. You wouldn’t know that though by the way she chows down on ALPO’s® wet dog food. She comes right up, no encouragement required.
She gets right down to business enjoying the healthy proteins, wholesome grains and veggies in ALPO®, which keeps her coat shiny and teeth and bones strong.
Rather than of having to coax her to eat, she happily chomps it all down, lapping up the gravy in the process. Hannah loves it, and I’m so glad to see her enjoying herself. With all the varieties of ALPO® wet dog food available, I know there is no chance she will get tired of it either.
An empty bowl, and any morels which escaped over the edge are quickly scoffed up.
Hannah is a big dog, so I don’t always give her the ALPO® wet dog food by itself like I did here. Sometimes, I add it to her dry food, by mixing 2/3 of a can in with the food, then adding the rest on top to tempt her to start. I’ve found it to be a very effective strategy. I do like to give her a can by itself once in awhile though, as a treat. She deserves it, she is the “Best Dog Eva” after all
