Today, I put a few hours in starting a fence repair project and tending to my overgrown flower beds. While it feels good to work outside, and I did get quite a bit accomplished, after a couple hours I needed a break. I pulled off my gardening gloves, took a seat in the screen canopy we had put up earlier in the week, and took a big sip of ice water. After sitting for a couple minutes, gazing at what I’d accomplished so far, I remembered my daughter and I had picked up some Weight Watchers Ice Cream treats recently. It was just what a wanted right then. Nothing too heavy or complicated, just a little something to enjoy during my break.
I’d selected their Peanut Butter Caramel Ice Cream Candy Bars, and dug one out of the box for myself. It is hard to believe these are only 150 calories, but they are (4 Weight Watcher Points per bar). The bar has just enough gooey caramel and crunchy peanuts to make it a special treat I really enjoy. Weight Watchers is about everything in moderation, not strict omissions. By feeling satisfied, it is easier for me to make better choices throughout the day. Having one of these bars is like a mini-celebration.
Before I knew it, my daughter was home from a busy day at school and began playing outside while I did a little more work in the garden. After awhile I got her one of the Dark Chocolate Raspberry Ice Cream Bars she had chosen at the market. She pointed them out when I was buying the other bars. Ice cream treats with no artificial sweeteners and 2 grams of fiber seemed like a smart choice for anyone.
I consider Weight Watchers Ice Cream treats a winner in our household. They are a great way to celebrate everyday successes while maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Smart choices keep these delicious treats lower in calories and have the PointsPlus® value placed prominently on the front of the package. Yes, you can have your ice cream and eat it too.
