Nickelodeon has released a new line of gymnastics themed Dora products, appropriately called Dora Gymnastics! Little girls love Dora the Explorer, and with the increasing issue of childhood obesity it is more important than ever to encourage our kids to engage in fun active pastimes, such as gymnastics. My own daughter is a very active child. Due to the effects of autism, she has not attained the level of focus required to do any of the more complicated gymnastics moves, but she still loves Dora and can jump around, giggle and enjoy herself along with the DVD adventure from this product line, as well as the other fun items.
The Fantastic Gymnastics Dora doll is quite adorable, and I know my little girl would get a kick out of her performing her moves. I also noticed a "Go for the Gold!" book which includes stenciling activities, which would be a good choice for my daughter, since we have been working on fine motor coordination. It doesn't seem like everything from this particular Dora line is shown online yet, but there are also video games, coloring books and even Dora Gymnastics! clothing (looking forward to seeing those).
