Don’t Be that Stinky Stranger…

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of SCOPE for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I put a lot of healthy recipes on this blog.  When avoiding some of the scrumptious but less than healthful culinary options out there, I often reach for members of the allium family for flavor… you know GARLIC and ONIONS.  While these certainly punch up the flavor of dishes, and make them far more satisfying, let’s just say they aren’t so great for making “close” friends.  No one likes bad breath.

nasty breathWe’ve all been there, a stranger wants to chat you up, alas their breath wreaks of salami sandwich or some other offensive odor.  We may tolerate it from a bossum buddy, but not a newcomer.  Although they may well be the most wonderful person on earth, all you can focus on is how you will make your get away, before you lose you lunch.  I loathe the thought of being the stinky stranger in this scenario, don’t you?

Scope just sent me a sample of their Outlast,  which keeps your mouth feeling fresh 5x longer than brushing alone, while killing bad breathe germs.  The raw garlic I put in the Artichoke and Bulgur Salad certainly gave it a workout, but Scope helped me be fit to associate with humanity.  Perhaps I should add a bottle to the ingredients list when I post it…lol.

Grab a couple bottles next time you are at Walmart, because Fresh breath & courage, 1 oz at a time! is priceless, but it doesn’t need to be expensive.

Check out this guy trying to make new Facebook friends in person…

  1. Not a bad idea…I may grab a couple of bottles and stick them in my purse for emergencies.

  2. Isnt’ it sad when you say “dont’ be that stinky stranger” and a couple of people you KNOW actually come to mind? Thanks for the post!

  3. I’m always so paranoid when I have to be gone all day and eating out. I’m popping mints and chewing gum a lot, but keeping a bottle of scope in my purse is a good idea!

  4. I just said something to my hubby about all the onions I eat on my salads!

  5. This is too funny! There have been so many times that I’ve had to back away from someone because of their kickin’ breath. Ew. Like, how do you not know that your breath smells like ass???

  6. Lol, I don’t want to be that person!

  7. I usually try to keep some at work in case I eat onions or garlic.

  8. And I looooove me some garlic.

  9. I love scope but I have never thought about carrying the little travel size bottles in my purse. I may have to grab some.

  10. I love Scope.

  11. I always have breath mints or gum on hand. Can’t stand talking to people with bad breath.

  12. This is one thing I am the most self conscious about!

  13. And another tip: If you’ve eaten something that causes these offensive smells, don’t go to a nightclub or somewhere where you have to talk, shout, or get closer to my nose!!!! lol

  14. Yes stinky breath can make me end a conversation pretty quick.
