As many of you know, I have been focusing a lot on healthy eating lately, especially over the past year. I am a strong believer that eating healthier and lighter, does not need to be a sacrifice, and with a bit of culinary creativity can be quite delectable. Luckily, the clever folks at Hershey’s seem to agree.
They recently launched a new line of chocolates called Simple Pleasures, which have been helpful to me in declaring my own “Sweet Independence” from the typical unsatisfying “light” sweets available on the market. I was sent a few samples to try out, and must say these chocolates are quite delicious. Hershey’s Simple Pleasures chocolates have 30 percent less fat than the average leading milk chocolates, so they are a great way for me to satisfy my chocolate cravings without going astray.
Hershey’s Simple Pleasures are filled chocolates that come in three flavors: Dark Chocolate with Chocolate Creme, Milk Chocolate with Chocolate Creme and Milk Chocolate with Vanilla Creme . My favorite was the Milk Chocolate with Chocolate Creme. You would never guess that these are lower in fat and calories, which is just the way I like it. I am going to have to try using them in some of my upcoming fall baking projects.
If all the flavor and less of the fat sounds good to you try them out, and be sure to check out their “Sweet Independence” page on Facebook. When you declare your own Sweet Independence, you will also be entered to win a $100 gift card.
