Curtainworks is an online retailer of stylish, yet affordable curtains. They are perfect for those of us with tastes beyond our means. Unlike some window covering retailers, Curtainworks has the colors and styles you are seeing in interior design magazines and TV shows, but they don’t have the exorbitant designer prices.
My family lives in a Victorian era home, and are blessed with ornate tin ceilings in our upstairs rooms. Of course these rooms also came with dingy busy wallpaper as well. In the future master bedroom, the offending paper has been removed and the walls and ceiling have been painted. Due to some other issues, the room is not yet ready to be decorated, but I wanted to share the lovely drapes that are waiting to go up. They are the Marquee Faux Silk Pinch Pleat Drapes in the color Peacock, from Curtainworks. The drapes are well constructed, and can be hung on clips, hooks or a drapery rod.
The color of the curtains is precisely as depicted on the Curtainworks website. As you can see below, it is a deeper shade of the exact color I had on my walls. I am not usually a “matchy-matchy” type, but I think this will make for a relaxing look when the room is finally together. I will be sharing before and after pictures, when the room is complete, but I’m sure you will be seeing more of the project, as it progresses anyway.
Curtainworks has a huge selection of curtains and hardware, for every room in your house. There is also a vast selection of materials available from genuine silk and velvet curtains, to energy saving thermal curtains. The color selection can’t be beat, for example the curtains I selected come in seven color choices, and four different lengths.
Delivery from Curtainworks was quite prompt. If you want to make a last minute spruce up before Christmas, orders placed by the 20th with 2 day shipping selected will get to you by Christmas Eve (shipping page). Be sure to check out the big clearance sale they have going on too.
