Like many moms, I sometimes find myself overwhelmed with the daily chores of running the household. Balancing teaching time, playtime, cooking, cleaning and errands, on top of maintaining my blogs, and participating in, and scheduling my daughter’s therapies, can sometimes be a little overwhelming. Occasionally, I dream of what it would be like if I won the lottery, or had some other huge windfall. I guess we all do that.
One of the first things I would do is arrange for landscaping and janitorial services. It would be wonderful to just relax, and know the basics of home and yard maintenance were being taken care of. I would be happy to never mop a floor, or wash dishes again (those are my two most loathed jobs). I enjoy cooking, and would continue to prepare most family meals. It would just be so much better, knowing that at least some of the clean-up, would not be for me to do.
No more, would I have to tell my daughter, I’ll be right back, after I clean such and such. We will play that when I am done folding laundry. You know the story. We have all been there. It is all just part of life, and I guess we should all be happy we don’t have the chores our great-grandmothers had. It is still nice to dream though, isn’t it?

Hey those are my dreams too lol
I love that photo!
Yes, as you can tell from my baby steps to cleaning article, I don’t like to clean either. Those are wonderful dreams for a mother….no more dishes? No more sweeping and mopping? HEAVEN
I have those dreams daily!!!
Yes that would be heavenly! Especially since I’m not that great at keeping a clean home. I try! But Landon likes to cling to me.
Funny about winning the lottery! I’m watching a show on people winning it right now.
