Cute Costumes for Children

It is a little early for halloween, but I jumped at the chance to review a costume from Costume SuperCenter, once I saw this Goldilocks costume.  It is just so adorable, and perfect for my little girl.  It was a hot and muggy,  the day I took this picture, yet the costume didn’t appear to bother her.  I was a little concerned about the bloomers and hairbows, but she seemed comfortable in it and enjoyed looking in the mirror at herself (Yes, she is a ham).   I am planning on her wearing it to Preschool the day they have their Halloween celebration.

Golilocks Toddler Costume

The costume also comes with three bears which fit into the pockets on the apron, but my daughter kept taking out her wee ursine buddies, and playing with them, so they the bearsdidn’t end out in the picture.  The bears were later discovered in my husband and I’s bed.  I guess, they like to turn the tables on the traditional Goldilocks and the three bears tale.

Costume SuperCenter had a huge selection of costumes for both adults and children.  They had a few other cute toddler costumes that tempted me too, especially the Yo Gabba Gabba costumes, since we are going to the live show in late September.   It would be fun for her to dress up for the event.

Costume SuperCenter has a sale on Halloween costumes going on right now.  Shopping early ensures the costume you want in your size, will be available.  Don’t wait around until a week before Halloween and have to select from the leftovers.

Great Fall Style and Comfort for Kids with Pediped Flex Shoes

pediped flex logopediped flexPediped is not just for babies anymore.  Their Flex line of footwear is designed for children age 2 to 5+ years.  Sizes EU 22-29 (Us 6 to 12) are available.  So, now our little ones can have the soft leather comfort of Pediped right through kindergarten.

We received a pair of the Giselle style new Flex shoes, in chocolate, for review.  The shoes are well constructed, and simply adorable.  My little girl was excited to try them on, and she was comfortable in them from the first wear, which is also a big plus with a three year old.

It is easy to see that comfort is a high priority in the design of Pediped’s flex footwear.  These soft flexible shoes have padded heel collars, cushioned insoles and a shock absorbing heel cushion.  The skid resistant natural rubber soles, even have a special ultra-pliable flex zone, which gives the shoes that broken in feel, right from the start.

pediped flex features

If you like to get a little extra time, out of your kid’s shoes, you will like the Flex Fit System.  Each pair of Flex shoes comes with an additional insole.  This extra insole insetrs under the primary insole, to snug up the fit a little bit.  Once your child’s foot grows, just remove the extra insole, for a roomier fit.    This is working out perfectly with my daughter’s pair.  I ordered them a half size too big, and with the Flex Fit insert, they fit perfectly.  Thanks to this system these shoes will get a few more months wear out of them.

Below are a few selections from the soon to be released new fall styles, for boys and girls.  they will be available for purchase in September.

bitzy dress review

We received a lovely summer dress from Bit’z Kids recently.  I didn’t pick out the item for review I just provided my daughter’s size, and made a note of her hair & eye colors.  I’m pleased with the selection they sent.   The red, white and blue is perfect with the 4th of July coming up.   It is a versatile casual dress, with nice detailing.  The dress is well constructed, and details like the eyelet lace on the straps and  embroidered patch pockets really make it special.  The material is a breathable cotton crinkled madras, which my daughter found quite comfortable.  I like that I don’t have to worry about her dress wrinkling up when I put her in her car seat, this has been an issue in the past with other dresses.

Soft Clothing: Review & Giveaway

Kids in general can’t stand uncomfortable clothes, but for children with sensory integration/processing disorder it can be unbearable.  Many children with autism also have sensory issues, and find tags, seams and certain fabrics, extremely distracting and annoying.  Finding acceptable clothing for these kids, which has style and color options has been problematic for many parents.

The Soft Clothing Company produces casual, yet stylish clothes for children with sensitivity issues.  Created by a mom entrepreneur, the line is tagless, flat seamed, and constructed from soft brushed and bio-washed cotton.  The collars are wider for added comfort and the dyes and prints used are natural and water based to avoid allergy issues.  The line includes both long and short sleeved T-shirts, slacks, dresses and cardigans, all in an array of colors.

My daughter has been recently diagnosed with autism herself.  While her sensory issues don’t prohibit her from wearing a lot of items, she does seem to get annoyed with tags.

I received a T-shirt from Soft Clothing to try out with her, and found the fabric to be super soft.  She is only 3, but tall for her age, so although the line is meant for kids from 4-12, the T-shirt was only slightly big on her.  We usually wash in cold and tumble dry at our house, and the shirt has held up very well.

I found the prices for this sensory friendly line of clothing to be very reasonable, ranging from 10-25 dollars per item.  If you like the gold color, of the T-shirt my daughter is wearing, take note that all items that color are 10% off this week with the discount code: RAINBOW.  Soft clothing picks a different color each week to run  a discount on.  I chose this color myself, since it seemed great with spring and summer approaching.

Verdict: These comfortable, durable and easy to mix & match clothes are great for all kids, not just those with sensory issues.  I especially, think these are great choices for school uniforms.  Comfort is conducive to learning.

Disclaimer:  While I received a sample T-shirt to try, the views presented here are my own honest opinion and no monetary compensation was given.
