Tea Collection is one of my favorite places to buy Girl’s Clothing. Not only are the styles fashionable, but they are very durable, as well. I am not sure why, but they seem far more stain resistant than most of my daughter’s other clothes. This is very important when you are dressing a particularly messy 4 year old. Don’t let her cute little face fool you, this child can trash a room like a rock star in record time, and wears food very well…lol. Her Tea Collection dresses have all held up to the punishment, and still look good.

Children’s Clothing from Tea Collection make an excellent choice for holiday events. They also have Boy’s Clothing available. Your son or daughter will certainly look neat and stylish, yet feel comfortable. You won’t be chasing them about, trying to avoid them ruining their clothes. They can be free to enjoy themselves and play. Isn’t that really the point, for everyone to enjoy their time together?

I love that I can put my daughter in a Tea Collection dress for an event, then send her to school in the same dress the next week. Very few lines of clothing for kids are this flexible.

Special note for parents of children with sensory issues: My daughter has sensory issues. While generally she is a sensory seeker, she can not tolerate uncomfortable clothing. I have not had any problems with her wearing Tea Collection clothing. Yes, they do have tags and seams, but unless your child is exceptionally sensitive, they will probably be O.K. with most of the items from this maker.

True Royalty Children’s Clothing Review

I recently had the pleasure of selecting a True Royalty children’s T-shirt to review. The characters on these Tees are simply adorable. It was hard to pick, so I suggested a few and received this sleepy monarch butterfly for my daughter.

The first thing I noticed upon unwrapping the shirt has the quality of the fabric used. While I wouldn’t call it thick, it certainly seems quite durable, and the construction is also well done. This is a T-shirt that will not wear out or twist after a few washes. Considering it is 100% cotton, it also didn’t seem to shrink in the wash. The Tees run true to size. My daughter just grew out of 3T and has started wearing 4T clothing. The above pic was taken last week , and she is wearing a 4T in it. As you can see the length on these tees is good. If you want to tuck them in or pair them with leggings (as I did here), you should not have an issue.

All of the characters are original to the line, and are too cute for words. My other faves are the monkey & the bear. I also like that they embroider a logo patch on the back of the Tee, just below the collar. It is a nice detail.

School Uniforms from French Toast : Review and Giveaway

I was recently given the chance to pick out a few school uniform items for my daughter from French Toast, for review. The French Toast website has a large selection of options in school uniform attire, for both girls and boys, from toddler to teens. My daughter is only 3 1/2, so I picked a cute yellow polo with picot collar and some khaki shorts for her, from the toddler uniform section.

The clothes are quite well constructed, so important in school clothes. The items we received also ran true to size, and my daughter seemed comfortable in them. I really liked the polo. It was certainly more girlie with the picot collar and sleeve detail.

The clothes were reasonably priced, and I will probably order a few more polos for my daughter from them. She is not required to wear a uniform to school, but these polos are perfect for school anyway. A little more “dressed” than a T-shirt, but just as comfortable. In addition to shirts, pants, scooters & dresses, French Toast also carries all the accessories you will need for your child’s school uniforms.

Tea Collection: Durable Modern Styles for Children

I have always enjoyed browsing the Children’s Clothing selection on Tea Collection website. The styles are very modern and the designs themselves have always seemed practical to me. I finally got to try out some of their Girl’s Clothing on my daughter courtesy of this review, I am now a full convert.

My daughter loves new clothes, especially dresses, but I hate to dress her in clothes that limit her activities. If I am constantly going to have to hover over her, to ensure she does not ruin her outfit, it will only end out in a couple pictures then collect dust in the closet. Tea Collection clothing is designed for kids to comfortably wear and look good doing so.

I selected 2 lovely dresses for her: the Bandana Lace Print Dress & a Yoke dress with a great geometric print. Immediately upon their arrival, I was impressed with the quality of the construction of these dresses. They are sure to be handed down to another little girl once M grows out of them, and perhaps she will be handing them down, as well. Both dresses are practical for everyday wear, or special occasions.

The Bandana Dress pictured to the right, really made M light up when we put it on her. She made the biggest grin and ran over to the mirror and did a little dance. I like that not only does she look cute in it, but the elasticized sleeves are easy to push up, for hand washing.

The yoke dress (below) is my favorite though. It is soft durable printed cotton. We have only had it a short time, but it has quickly become a go-to outfit, so has already been laundered several times. It looks just as fresh right now as the day it came in, and doesn’t seem to have shrunk at all. It goes perfect with a pair of leggings in cooler weather, and will look great with sandals in the late spring/summer. The style will work well as a tunic too, so M will get several seasons lot of wear out of this.

Tea Collection offers many great versatile styles like this. Their ready made outfit sets are a great buys. Here are a couple of the current ones. It also gives you a peek at the great new spring line. Be sure to check out the under $30 dress selection too while you are there. I’m loving the new color palettes.

New Ballerina Girls Raincoat and Gear from Kidorable

She was not in a co-operative mood for pics when I shot these, but they do give you an idea of the Ballerina raincoat in action. I may need to get her the matching Ballerina Rain Boots to go with it

Kid’s Fall Fashion with JC Penney

I love shopping at JC Penney for my family. They always have the current styles, at very family friendly prices. Thus, I was thrilled when they asked me to do a kid’s fall fashion post, along with a giveaway for my readers. If you are like me and don’t buy all your children’s school clothes for the fall before school starts, then this should be of interest to you.

My co-shopper is a sometimes cranky 3 year old, so we actually had to break this into two shopping trips. During the first one we stocked up on the cute and versatile mix and match toddler separates from Okie Dokie. The fuchsia outfit my daughter is wearing to school in the picture to the left is Okie Dokie. They are surprisingly well detailed for such reasonably priced separates, this shirt has both embroidered and appliqued lettering on it, as well as featuring a small ruffle at the collar and lettuce leaf edging at sleeve and bottom. Pretty amazing for around $5-6 on sale. I also grabbed corduroy pants with ruffled cuff, some leggings, and a few more long sleeve knit tops (including one for Halloween), all from this separates collection. We also found a nice lined windbreaker set, perfect for late fall/early winter. Just right for chilly outdoor events.

All in all, the first shopping trip was a success! I was very happy with our selections.

We to went to JC Penney again recently, to pick out some more adventurous styles. I wanted to try and really get a feel for my daughter’s taste this time. As soon as, we got within eye shot of the little girls purses my daughter excitedly ran over to them, and grabbed a glitter Disney Princess bag with chunky bead handle. Although she wanted several of them, this is the one she ended out picking, and carried it through the store for the entirety of our time shopping, so she got her first purse that day They also had some really cute “doggy” bags, and Hello Kitty purses that would be good for girls a little older than my daughter, who are not quite ready for a grown up handbag.

Between her adoration of this purse, and the recent discussion I had with her teacher concerning her love of glitter, I sought out some fashion with a little sparkle to it, for her. I was in luck that the shiny foil and glittery embellishments popular in the bigger girls clothes, were also available for preschoolers.

This set (below) seemed perfect for my daughter. It had big girl styling, and shiny foil lettering, but was also appropriate for an active 3 year old. I also picked up a glittery embellished hooded tee, embellished short sleeve Tee and some extra leggings.

Although my little girl is not quite big enough to wear the Super Girl line offered at JC Penney, we went over to check out the styles in person. Now, I can’t wait until she is big enough. The styles are very now, but tastefully done. It is nice to know that little girls have such hot fashions available, which are not too adult in cut and style. Here are some of the looks from the Super Girl line which I particularly liked.

While these two shopping trips were inspired by a review request. We will be back to JC Penney very soon. Not only because of the wonderful styles and reasonable prices, but the experience we had there. Several of the associates from the Emerald Square Mall location (MA), really went out of their way to help us, while we were shopping. These ladies had no idea, I was going to write about my experience shopping there. They were just performing excellent customer service, which is something hard to find these days.

Back to School Fashion Deals, from TJ Maxx and Marshalls

I grabbed some great back-to-school deals at TJ Maxx and Marshalls this year, and thought I would share some of them with you.

That first month or so of back-to-school is still hot for the most part, but often starts out a little chilly, in the morning. I look for “transitional” clothes for that time period. I always check the clearance rack, to see if any spring or summer leftovers will work. This sleeveless dress, although shown with tights, actually came with full length leggings. My daughter can wear a long sleeve tee under it, when the weather gets cool. Mary Janes are great 3 season shoes for little girls. These are black, with little silver turtles on them, so they will go with most of her things this fall. (Calvin Klein Dress with leggings $10 clearance at TJ Maxx/ Carole Little Mary Janes $12.99 at Marshalls)

Below, is a pretty tunic/dress and 3/4 length leggings set, I picked up. It is fine as is through early fall, then I will switch off to a pair of full length bottoms for it. (Savannah Tunic Set $5 Clearance at TJ Maxx)

My daughter seemed to like this hooded pink & gray striped top with floral embellishment. The leggings that come with it have a subtle ruffled cuff. (Kids Headquarters Set $12.99 at TJ Maxx)

I also picked up a Paul Frank Tee for her on the clearance rack, for just $3 (it was supposed to be part of a 2 pc. set), a pack of panties and some socks. The total for everything, between both stores, was under $52. This is why I love shopping TJ Maxx and Marshalls. I think I will go back and get something for mommy!

Review: Lucky Cat Rain Gear for Girls from Kidorable | Lucky Cat Rain Boots and Raincoat

Kidorable makes the cutest dang rain gear for children, that I have ever seen. My daughter and I got to check out a pair of their Lucky Cat rain boots and matching Lucky Cat raincoat, for this review. The rain gear arrived nicely packaged, and the rain coat actually came with it’s own painted wooden hanger, which matched the jacket.

My daughter is in between sizes right now, so anything that comes in the mail I have been opting for the larger of the two sizes (to be safe in case the line runs small). This is why the jacket looks a little big on her. Kidorable sizing is on the more generous end of the normal range , so you can feel comfortable ordering the most common size your child wears.

The quality of Kidorable products is quite good. The boots have a cushioned insole, styled boot pulls and rugged traction soles, which are wonderful for splashing in puddles. The rain jacket, is sewn together well and the painted on details seem like they are on there for the long haul. I would say Kidorable rain gear, would make excellent future hand-me-downs.

While Kidorables gear is well made the obvious primary appeal to most parents will be the charming styles available, for both boys and girls. My daughter is shown above in the Lucky Cat line, but I came very close to ordering one of the styles in the English Roses Collection(inspired by Madonna’s children’s book series), they are adorable, and we will most likely get something from the collection, once she outgrows the set she now has.

There are many more items available for each style collection, beyond the boots and jackets too. Kidorables also offers umbrellas, hats, backpacks, scarves & gloves, towels and tee shirts, to complete your child’s favorite look.

Verdict: I would buy from Kidorables in the future, and have no problem recommending their products, to anyone.
