Naked Juice has a brand new line of juices out that feature a serious quantity of veggies in them. If you are unaware, Naked Juice is just that… juice. It has no added sugars or other flavorings and preservatives.
I tried the two Power Garden juices, in preparation to create a recipe using one or both of the juices, and they are rather yummy. If you would like to try these healthy juices for yourself, check out the new page set up for them complete with money saving printable coupons.
The tart sweetness and vibrant color of the Berry Veggie drew me to it. You would never guess this juice is packed with vegetables. I knew I wanted to use it in the recipe for this post, but the juice was so tasty on it’s own that I didn’t want to make something that would mask the pure taste of the juice. I thought about ice cream, but sherbet seemed a better fit. That way the taste and beautiful color of the juice could really shine though. I dragged my ice cream machine up from the basement and set about making a mix to put in it. The process was far simpler than I expected. I simply added mascarpone and maple syrup to the juice, adjusted the quantities a little, and it was ready for the chilly churning process. It didn’t take much of either, since the mascarpone is so rich and the juice was already naturally sweet so the maple only needed to enhance that a little.
The results are tangy, with a solid creamy undertone, and mildly sweet. I enjoyed it a lot.
Here is my easy recipe for Berry Veggie Mascarpone Sherbet. There is a Pinterest Sweepstakes contest with Naked Power Garden coming up very soon. Entrants can vote for their favorite recipe to be entered to win a Naked prize pack. Voting will start on Monday, June 17th, so be sure to come back and vote (for mine of course).
