Like many people one of my New Year’s resolutions is to eat better. I was doing great for a few years, then life got in the way and I slipped up big time last year. The good thing is, I know what works for me, I just need to do it. One thing that I’ve resolved is to have a good breakfast each morning. One that features protein, but I am not always in the mood for eggs & sometimes I just want something quick and easy to grab.
… enter Yulu.
I got a sneak peak at an innovative new yogurt called Yulu, before it’s release, and it truly is a whole new kind of yogurt. It is an Aussie Style Yogurt. Honestly, I had never heard of Aussie Style Yogurt before trying this. If you are a person who likes the higher protein of Greek yogurts, but aren’t so keen on the texture or flavor of them, you have absolutely got to try a Yulu.
Aussie vs. Greek Style Yogurts
While Yulu has 9 grams of nourishing protein, putting it on par with Greek yogurts, Yulu has been smoothed twice, creating an extra creamy and smooth feel in your mouth. None of that chalkiness that Greek yogurts sometimes have. It also doesn’t have that sourness some Greek yogurts have.
Yulu Aussie Style Yogurt comes in a clear cup, so you can see just what you are getting. They have nothing to hide. The yogurt is made from honest ingredients. Everything on the label is real food. No high fructose corn syrup or chemical preservatives.
I look forward to getting more Yulu, now that it will be hitting the store shelves, and trying some of the other flavors (I tried strawberry). It makes a great quick breakfast or snack. I had mine with a few almonds and a sprinkle of Chia seeds, along with a Mandarin orange for breakfast. I love the crunchy contrast of the Chia and almonds in the yogurt and the juicy sweet little Mandarin pairs well with the creamy yogurt.
